Srinagar, Dec 09 (KNO): Flight operations at Srinagar Airport neared normalcy on Tuesday as IndiGo resumed most of its services, though 10 cancellations persisted. The airline’s CEO, Peter Elbers, in a video message said, “Your airline IndiGo is back on its feet and our operations are stable. Thousands of you could not travel and we are profusely apologetic for that.” Airport officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that of total 64 scheduled flights including 32 arrivals and 32 departures, IndiGo operated 36 flights. The official said that among the total 36 IndiGo flights a total of ten flights were cancelled including five arrivals and five departures. “No delays were reported on IndiGo flights.” “No other airline reported cancellations today. However, three Air India Express flights faced delays of up to two hours due to operational reasons,” an official said. Officials also added that Srinagar Airport is closely coordinating with IndiGo to ensure seamless passenger facilitation and that the operations team is monitoring all flights amid the ongoing disruptions. “Passengers are advised to confirm their flight status before travel to avoid inconvenience,” the official added. The improved operations come as ‘a relief to passengers following a ‘week long widespread disruptions’ that affected thousands across Jammu and Kashmir—(KNO)
